Did you have an excellent interaction with a Dorchester County employee or first responder who you would like to recognize? Or, do you have a teammate that has displayed exemplary performance or has made a significant contribution to your team? Now you have a way to say thank you!
The employee recognition program is based upon the concept of promoting team spirit and identifying those employees who are making a positive difference in the community. Dorchester County recognizes and values the strength in our teams and will continue to encourage and support efforts in building a team environment.
Nominations
Nominations may be made for superior performance and/or contribution by a Dorchester County employee or first responder involving activities such as internal or external customer service, productivity/work processes, or outstanding performance.
Rewards
All nominations will be evaluated by the Dorchester County Employee Engagement Committee who will recommend an employee and first responder for each quarter.
Councilmembers will recognize these individuals who will both receive $250.00, a certificate, and honored at a Council meeting.
The Employee of the Year and First Responder of the Year will be selected from the quarterly nominations and will each receive $500.00, a day off with pay, and a proclamation presented by County Council.
This program is designed to foster a work environment where every County employee has an equal opportunity to be recognized for his or her professional achievements and contributions to the organization and service to the community.
