The Consolidated Dispatch Center serves as the County's Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) to receive 9-1-1 calls for service. The center processes emergency calls and provides dispatching services for the County's EMS Department, Fire Rescue, Sheriff's Office, and Police in the Towns of Harleyville, Ridgeville, and St. George. The center works closely with the Town of Summerville 911 Center and Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center, which serve incorporated areas in the Town of Summerville and City of North Charleston.

Public Records Requests

All Public Records Requests intended for the Consolidated Dispatch Center should be submitted to our online public records request portal. 

If applicable, the requester/requesting organization will be responsible for all costs related to the fulfillment of records requests.

Under Section 30-4-30(C) of South Carolina Law:

Allow a minimum of ten (10) business days excluding weekends and observed holidays for a response to a request for records that are two years old or less. 

Allow a minimum of twenty (20) business days excluding weekends and observed holidays for a response to a request for records that are more than two years old.
