Dorchester County Disaster Loan Outreach Center: SBA Assistance for Tropical Storm Debby Recovery
The Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved a disaster declaration for Berkeley County and Orangeburg County due to the damages caused by Tropical Storm Debby. This declaration also includes the contiguous counties of Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Charleston, Clarendon, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Lexington, and Williamsburg.
Key Dates:
- Physical Damage Loan Application Deadline: November 18, 2024
- Economic Injury Loan Application Deadline (for businesses): June 18, 2025
Affected residents and businesses in these counties are eligible to apply for low-interest loans to assist with repairs and recovery:
- Physical Damage Disaster Loans for home and business repairs.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) for businesses experiencing lost revenue.
Dorchester County Disaster Loan Outreach Center: The SBA will host a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) at the St. George Library from Monday, September 30 through Sunday, October 7.
Hours of Operation:
Monday: 11:00AM-6:00PM
Tuesday - Friday: 9:00AM-6:00PM
Saturday: 10:00AM-2:00PM
Sunday: CLOSED
