Residents can now register their vehicles online. 

After the form has been properly submitted and the tax bill is created, it will take an additional 24-hours for the system to update. At that time the personal property taxes for the vehicle can be paid to the Dorchester County Treasurer's Office in one of the following ways:

• Online 
• By Mail to the Dorchester County Treasurer's Office (201 Johnston Street, St. George, SC 29477)
• Dropbox at the St. George or Summerville Treasurer's Office

Upon payment, the tax receipt will be emailed. The official paid tax receipt will be mailed out to the address on record from the Treasurer’s Office. This official paid tax receipt and the vehicle documentation should be taken to the SCDMV to complete the registration process.
