Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) remains at Operating Condition (OPCON) 1.
County residents and business owners can begin reporting structural damage via the damage reporting form on the Dorchester County website. Receiving this information will greatly assist the County with damage assessments and reporting to expedite reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Shelter
DuBose Middle School, located at 1005 DuBose School Road, Summerville will remain open, overnight, as a pet-friendly shelter.
Residents evacuating to the shelter should pack minimally, bringing only the essentials i.e. bedding (blankets or sleeping bag, pillows, air mattresses or cots) personal hygiene products, a form of identification, all medications, important documents and a change of clothes, food and water for 3-4 days.
The Shelter will only accept crated, small, domesticated animals. At least one family member must remain at the shelter, with the pet, at all times.
