The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit public input on community needs for housing, public facilities, economic development and other identified priorities to serve low-moderate income households. At the same meeting, Dorchester County Council will consider a Proclamation proclaiming April 2023 as Fair Housing Month. The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the Dorchester County Human Services Building, 500 North Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the Dorchester County Citizen Participation Plan. The Plan was developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Dorchester County in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve CDBG funds.

Dorchester County does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status or disability in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in its federally assisted programs or activities.
