Dorchester County fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. County meetings are conducted in accessible locations, materials can be provided in accessible formats, and provided in languages other than English. Conservation Commission - CANCELED

The Conservation Commission leads the effort to conserve/preserve Dorchester County's significant natural and historic resources, with an emphasis on protecting:

  • water quality
  • farms and forests
  • wildlife habitat
  • scenic views
  • natural areas
  • historic buildings/sites 

The Commission makes recommendations to County Council regarding allocation of funding and other items related to the conservation of natural resources and preservation of historic sites. The Conservation Commission typically meets the first Thursday of the month though additional meetings are called as required.
