Fair Housing - Community Needs Assessment Plan
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 4, 2020 at 6:00 PM, Dorchester County will hold a public hearing at the Dorchester County Human Services building, 500 North Main Street, Summerville SC 29483. The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities and economic development. At this public hearing, Dorchester County will provide the results of its needs assessment and the activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amounts proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate income.
This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the Dorchester County Citizen Participation Plan, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Dorchester County in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve CDBG funds. The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the Dorchester County Human Services building, 500 North Main Street, Summerville SC 29483 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Out of an abundance of caution the public hearing will be closed to the public. Residents may submit their comments via the virtual request to address to council online form. Note: The form must be completed and submitted, no later than, 12:00 PM on Monday, May 4.
