LR Removal Request Letter from Homeowner 2-4-2020a This form is used to request that Dorchester County remove the 4% Legal Residence Ratio from your property so that you may apply for the exemption elsewhere.
Report Legal Residence Exemption The Legal Residence Exemption should only be claimed on the property you live in and occupy per the South Carolina Code of Laws (Title 12, Section 43). This exemption should only be claimed on one residence. If you know of a property that is Vacant or being Rented, you may complete the below information and it will be sent to the Assessor’s Department anonymously. We will check the reported property and change the taxing ratio if necessary.
Ag Application 12-2022 This is the application to apply for the agricultural discount on your property. You will need to complete this form and mail it to the Assessor’s Office to be considered for the agricultural rate. Please read the second sheet (or back page) of the application for qualifications.
Appeal Form 11-8-19 Complete this form if you disagree with the Appraised Value of your property. Any proof you can supply supporting your claim may be helpful.

Application For Homeowners Association Special Valuation This application must be furnished to the County Assessor to determine if the organization meets the requirements of this special valuation legislation and what qualified income should be capitalized into the taxable value.
Application for Homebuilders-Developers Tax Exemption 9-26-24 If you are a developer and have unsold homes that have been issued a Certificate of Occupancy, the improvement may qualify for an exemption. This is for new construction of single-family detached homes only. Please see 12-37-220(B) as amended of the South Carolina Code of Laws for further details.

Application for ATI 25% reduction in value 8-19-11 (Auto Fill) Application for ATI Exemption for 6% Other Real Property 1-27-15 South Carolina law now allows a partial exemption from taxation of up to 25% of an “ATI fair market value” that is the result of an Assessable Transfer of Interest. Mobile Home Decal Application (excel) 7-11-23 You must apply for this application in person in the St. George Assessor's Office. There is a $5.00 charge for this decal.

Multi-Lot Discount Application If you have 10 or more unsold lots in a subdivision, you may qualify for a discount on each lot value. This application must be filed by May 1 of the applicable tax year.

Real Property Valuation Reform Act "Assessable transfer of interest" means a transfer of an existing interest in real property that subjects the real property to appraisal. For purposes of this definition, an existing interest in real property includes life estate interests.
Rollback ESTIMATE Request_04-04-22 This form is used to request a rollback estimate on property that has received agricultural use for any of the past three years. This form must be completed and mailed or emailed the Assessor's Office. For more information about Rollback Taxes, please see the second/back page of our Agricultural Application.
TMS Number Request_04-04-22 This form should be used to request a TMS# for a newly created parcel of land after the plat of the parcel has been recorded with the Register of Deeds Office.
